Just over a year since Munk began and our body of work has already grown beyond our expectations. We've packaged the Simpsons with a series of fun hand drawn animations, exposed the insides of a human under the influence of alcohol for BBC Horizon, played our part in saving the over farmed Krill in the antarctic and also helped in raising awareness of heart disease. It has been an interesting year to say the least.

Its been nearly 2 months since our last post, simply because we have been so busy!
We have had a great start to the year creating X-ray people for BBC worldwide, folding and unfolding interiors for Fox and creating/animating paper people and animals for Make believe Studios.

Hellyfish VFX breakdown

With our new showreel online and new projects lined up, we thought it was time we started posting some of that really interesting behind the scenes stuff.

Here at Munk, we are heavily into our creature creation, so we were absolutely chuffed to pieces when former Psyop compositor 'Patrick Longstreth', one of our U.S allies, asked us to work on his short film 'Hellyfish'. After he showed me his hilarious, work in progress, trailer which included an epic shot of a giant jelly fish smashing through a pier, I was sold.
